U četvrtfinalnim mečevima Evropskog prvenstva za seniore u beogradskoj dvorani „Aleksandar Nikolić”, još sedmorica reprezentativaca Srbije pridružilo se Sadamu Magomedovu (92 kg) i Dušanu Veletiću (+92 kg) na pobedničkom postolju.
Osim devet od mogućih 12 odličja za izabranike selektora Milana Piperskog, 12 dama iz domaće selekcije uspelo je da obezbedi 11 medalja.
Istorijski dan otvorio je Rade Joksimović (48 kg) u okršaju protiv Moldavca Jona Pingua. Učesnici u najlakšoj kategoriji prikazali su izuzetno srčanu borbu, ali je domaći češće i snažnije pogađao. Iako je Joksimoviću dosuđen nokdaun u završnoj rundi, Srbin je zasluženo odneo pobedu jednoglasnom sudijskom odlukom.
U narednom okršaju, još eksplozivniji bio je Omer Ametović (51 kg) protiv znatno višeg Gruzina Davita Džaparidzea. Fizičke predispozicije nisu mu bile prepreka da pogađa rivala snažnim overhendovima, a arbitri nisu imali dileme oko imena polufinaliste.
Pobednički niz nastavio je Jovan Nikolić (71 kg) u regionalnom okršaju sa odličnim Stefanom Savkovićem. Reprezentativac Crne Gore vodio je krajem prve deonice, ali je u druge dve momak iz Veternika sve nadoknadio i zasluženo slavio jednoglasnom odlukom arbitara.
Usledio je nastavak odbrane titule iz Jerevana pre dve godine u režiji Vahida Abasova (67 kg). Bio je ubedljivo bolji od Mađara Rafaela Buze. Kontraš rodom iz Rusije i ovog rivala je savladao u svom karakterističnom stilu, s lakoćom na nogama i brzim direktima. Sledeći rival biće Gruzin Laša Guruli, kog je Abasov pobedio 2022. u finalu u glavnom gradu Jermenije.
Verovatno najlepšu stranicu ovog šampionata piše Rastko Simić (80 kg). Najmlađi član domaće reprezentacije dugo je odustvovao iz ringa zbog povreda, a sinoć je upisao drugu pobedu jednoglasnom odlukom sudija, ovaj put nad Makedoncem Arjanom Isenijem.
Rivalu je pokvario planove prvim udarcem posle startnog zvona, kojim ga je poslao u nokdaun. Rutinski i bez rizika, Simić je priveo meč kraju i izvojevao trijumf jednoglasnom odlukom sudija za stolom.
Trijumfalni niz nastavio je Almir Memić (75 kg) savladavši Belgijanca Hamzu Sririja. Rival za plasman u okršaj za zlato biće mu Rus Džambulat Bižamov.
Ubrzo je Veljko Ražnatović (86 kg) slavio protiv Moldavca Andreja Čirjakova. I njegov rival je iz najmnogoljudnije zemlje sveta, pošto ga danas čeka odmorni Šarabutdin Ataev.
Tamir Galanov (54 kg), za Rusiju evropski vicešampion 2011. u Ankari (49 kg) i bronzani 2017. na Svetskom prvenstvu u Hamburgu (52 kg), izgubio je juče na bodove od poznanika iz Zbornaje komande Dimitrija Dvalija.
Nedugo posle, takođe od Rusa, poraz na poene je doživeo i Nazif Sejdi (63,5 kg). Solidno je rođeni Novosađanin parirao Gabilu Mamedovu u početnoj rundi, ali je u narednoj pretrpeo nokdaun i dobio javnu opomenu.
