Hamas: Ko su najistaknutiji lideri grupe?
Otkako je Hamas zaslepio Izrael svojim najambicioznijim napadom ikada pokrenutim iz Gaze, postavljaju se pitanja ko je rukovodio smrtonosnom invazijom.
Mnogi od najviših ljudi koji pripadaju militantnoj palestinskoj grupi koja kontroliše Gazu drže se niskog javnog značaja, dok su drugi proveli veći deo svog života izbegavajući pokušaje atentata od strane Izraela.
Ovo su Hamasovi najistaknutiji lideri.
Ismail Haniyeh
Ismail Hanije se smatra generalnim vođom Hamasa.
Istaknutog člana pokreta, Izrael je zatvorio na tri godine 1989. dok je gušio prvi palestinski ustanak.
Zatim je 1992. godine prognan na ničiju zemlju između Izraela i Libana, zajedno sa brojnim liderima Hamasa.
Posle godinu dana u izgnanstvu, vratio se u Gazu. Godine 1997. postavljen je za šefa kancelarije Hamasovog duhovnog vođe, ojačavajući njegovu poziciju.
Hanija je imenovao za palestinskog premijera 2006. predsednik Mahmud Abas nakon što je Hamas osvojio najviše mesta na nacionalnim izborima, ali je smenjen godinu dana kasnije nakon što je grupa izbacila Abasovu stranku Fatah iz Pojasa Gaze u nedelju dana smrtonosnog nasilja.

Yahya Sinwar
Vođa pokreta Hamas u Pojasu Gaze, Jahja Sinvar, rođen je 1962. godine.

Mohammed Deif
Mohamed Deif predvodi Brigade Iz al-Din al-Qassam, vojnu granu pokreta Hamas.
On je mračna figura poznata Palestincima kao Mastermind, a Izraelcima kao Mačka sa devet života.
Izraelske vlasti su ga zatvorile 1989. godine, nakon čega je formirao Brigade Al Kasam sa ciljem da zarobi izraelske vojnike.

Deif je jedan od najtraženijih ljudi u Izraelu, optužen za planiranje i nadgledanje bombaških napada na autobuse u kojima je ubijeno desetine Izraelaca 1996. godine i za umešanost u hvatanje i ubistvo tri izraelska vojnika sredinom 1990-ih.
Izrael ga je zatvorio 2000. godine, ali je pobegao na početku druge palestinske pobune, ili intifade.
Od tada je za sobom ostavio malo traga. Poznate su tri njegove slike: jedna je datirana, na drugoj je maskiran, a treća je njegova senka.
Najozbiljniji pokušaji atentata na njegov život bili su 2002. godine: Deif je preživeo, ali je izgubio jedno oko. Izrael kaže da je takođe izgubio stopalo i ruku i da ima poteškoća da govori.
Izraelske snage bezbednosti ponovo nisu uspele da ubiju Deifa tokom napada na pojas Gaze 2014, ali su ubile njegovu ženu i dvoje dece.

Marwan Issa
